Modern measures of protection from noise and vibration
Transgression of maximum permissible limits of noise or vibration established by the legislative acts and standards is an inadmissible and unlawful. The limits of acoustic noise on the line of residential housing must not be over 55dB at day and 45 dB at night. If the maximum permissible limits of noise are over limits, it will be forbidden to operate unit, equipment and to conduct technological process which leads to transgression of sanitary-hygienic requirements. If stoppage of work or operation equipment is impossible (strategically important production, service of roads, railway stations, airports, repair), owner of equipment or enterprise, which performs economic activity leading to transgression of hygienic requirements, can implement specialized project solutions and measures for compliance of requirements.
Determination of necessary measures and solutions depends on individual case. Such services are conducted by the MCL, LLC through involvement its national and international partners with sufficient experience and qualification proven by designed and implemented projects. Among the most commonly used solutions for reducing noise load are sound barrier shields and straight line of two-level fir-trees. The main protection measures from vibration are damping, attenuation, absorption, isolation. Although, there are innovative solutions for protection from noise and vibration simultaneously.
The specialists of MCL, LLC have designed and implemented a complex of technological solutions which allowed allocation of residential housing in close to railway station.
Thanks to complex of individual solutions was projected and conducted reconstruction of banks of railroad tracks which reduced speed and vibration force. Such project solutions allowed to allocate on bank sound barrier shield in close to sources of noise without damage of railway infrastructure. Except actual reducing of negative impact, also it is necessary to justify possible allocation of residential housing within sanitary-hygienic zones (SHZ). Due to the requirements determining sizes of SHZ, State Sanitary Rules 173-96 (SSR 173-96) in line of shz the concentration and limits of harmful factors must not exceed 0,8 of maximum permissible limit. Determination of limit of harmful impact is conducted during laboratory and physical measurements. With a MCL, LLC participation is possible to determine noise limit and to determine vibration limit in Kyiv, Lviv, Lutsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Uzhhorod, Sumy, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Khmelnitsky, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Kropyvnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhia, Rivne, Poltava, Chernihiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv and among all territory of Ukraine and everywhere where is necessary without geographical limits.
Sound barrier shields may be in various form and consist of different materials. Their main function is reflection of sound waves. These shields can be constructed almost with any materials, the main criteria for this is hole absence and entirety. But there are materials with greater or lesser characteristic to reflect sound. Nowadays, for more reliable and strong effect are used sound barrier shields of three or more layers of different structure and characteristic of materials. The height of sound barrier shield depends on relative height of source of noise and on proximity to residential housing or other object which is required of protection from noise. Physical construction and sufficiency of noise absorbing shield are calculated and projected by the specialists of MCL, LLC. Modern technologies allow specialists to use many ways of sound barrier shields.
Taking into account noise limits which are required to reflect, esthetic component, existing boundaries, specialists of MCL, LLC can propose projecting and installing of sound barrier shield in accordance to individual client requests.
